The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai is recruiting a Director of Business Development &amp; Marketing. The Business Development &amp; Marketing Department is responsible for development of membership services, membership sales and retention, sponsorship sales, strategic partnership management, and accelerates AmCham Shanghai's branding and position in China.&lt;br /&gt;

The Director of Business Development &amp; Marketing should have proven business development skills and experience meeting revenue goals. The position requires managing multiple tasks that result in the improvement of the organization's market position. Some key responsibilities are:&lt;br /&gt;

1. Member Services Management &amp; Development&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Oversee the delivery of existing membership services. Evaluate member feedback and develop new services to meet member needs. Responsible for raising member engagement by communicating AmCham's services and creating new services and programs.&lt;br /&gt;

2. Membership Sales &amp; Engagement&lt;br /&gt;

Expanding the Chamber membership base through new membership growth and renewal retention programs. To assist the team in realizing its goals by conducting research, developing and managing programs, and connecting with member companies.&lt;br /&gt;

3. Business Development&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
1. Keep President informed through regular reporting – preparing reports, interpreting information and making recommendations.&lt;br /&gt;

2. Lead partnership strategy, including identification of key partners, defining our value proposition, determining pricing and other sources of value;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
3. Identify and develop strategies and tactics that address the most important needs  facing Chamber members&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. To incorporate new guidelines, policies and review existing guidelines, policies to  fine-tune membership services&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
5. As a member of senior leadership team, contribute to the development of the  organization's overall growth strategy and lead execution of that strategy as appropriate&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
4. Marketing&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Develop and formulate a yearly marketing plan in cooperation with all departments. Responsible for executing the Chamber's marketing strategies with the objective of maximizing membership and sponsorship opportunities, meeting the organization's overall strategy and meeting budget goals.&lt;br /&gt;

5. Sponsorship&lt;br /&gt;

Develop, manage and implement sales strategies for AmCham Shanghai products and services, including:&lt;br /&gt;

• Special event sponsorship&lt;br /&gt;

• Barter / In-kind sponsorship&lt;br /&gt;

• Printed advertising sales for monthly magazine and annual membership  directory&lt;br /&gt;

• Online advertising sales for website and e-newsletters&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Circulation sales for AmCham publications  Selection Criteria:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• Bachelor degree in marketing, business or hospitality; and a strong understanding of sales and marketing&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
• A minimum of 10 years senior sales and marketing experience in business services industry, demonstrating leadership that has successfully achieved revenue growth targets.&lt;br /&gt;

• Experience in B2B and B2C business setting&lt;br /&gt;

• Must be proficient in both English and Chinese.&lt;br /&gt;

Prepare various external communications materials or tailor existing global materials for China audiences.&lt;br /&gt;

Identify and maintain good relationships with key partners, including journalists and communications contractors.&lt;br /&gt;

Manage budget for Landesa communication &amp; advocacy related activities in China.&lt;br /&gt;

In coordination with Seattle based Chief Communications Officer (CCO), support the implementation of Landesa's overall strategic advocacy plan, especially as it relates to China.&lt;br /&gt;

Serve as a key member of the global advocacy team and the primary liaison between China and Seattle global advocacy teams, participating in regular dialogue about best ways to champion land rights within the international development community.&lt;br /&gt;

Obtain, understand, and effectively communicate and disseminate project research to the Seattle global advocacy team.&lt;br /&gt;

Provide continuous creative insight to the global advocacy team about how momentum in China can help shape larger narrative about the potential impact of secure land rights.&lt;br /&gt;

1. Purpose of the post:&lt;br /&gt;

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Chief of Communication, responsible for the content, design and structure of the China Country Office's website, video and social media channels, in order to stimulate interest and engagement in the UNICEF mission for the protection and promotion of child rights.&lt;br /&gt;

Duties:&lt;br /&gt;

- Manage the day to day content development of the China Office website (www.unicef.cn), to ensure lively, engaging and informative news, stories, opinion, blogs, photo essays, videos, and special campaign landing pages thus contributing to the achievement of the Office's overall communication and fundraising results. Perform the day-to-day maintenance of both the English and Chinese websites using the current content management system.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Assist with digital engagement through social media pages, search engines, online advertising, on-line partnerships etc, making use of external creative social media agencies. Work closely with office teams to help develop innovative online engagement methods to acquire new fans, followers and donors. Coordinate day to day content posting and advise on promotional strategies for promotion of child rights awareness through micro-blogging social media channels; namely, Sina Weibo, Tencent Weibo and Youku video pages, as well as other social networking platforms to be developed as capacity allows.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Travel to project sites and produce human interest stories, fundraising stories, blogs, field blogs, photographs and video clips to be published on www.unicef.cn and on other media.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Regularly produce analytical reports on website traffic and relevant social media analysis and make necessary changes to website to ensure a high performing web presence.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Organize data and information, prepare and maintain records, documents and control plans for the monitoring of project/programme implementation.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2. Required qualifications and competencies:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, new media, marketing, public relations or related field. Formal training in current web development software an asset.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
- At least six (6) years of progressively responsible working experience, three of which should be in Website Design and content management, with some aspects of journalism, digital media, marketing and public relations. Experience in supporting social media engagement strategies to achieve organizational goals would be an asset. Experience with photo and video image acquisition and editing are highly desirable.&lt;br /&gt;

- Excellent knowledge of English and Mandarin, including ability to carry out translation duties.&lt;br /&gt;

• Assigning freelance stories, developing story concepts and managing manuscripts to ensure that they are received in a timely manner and produced to the quality standards associated with the magazine.&lt;br /&gt;

• Assist the designers by requesting photos or asking freelance writers to request photos on their various stories, and providing art ideas to the art directors.&lt;br /&gt;

• Write photo captions, deks, and other editorial pieces as needed at layout stage.&lt;br /&gt;

• Assisting with the final layout of the magazine by proofing and correcting preliminary InDesign documents of each layout, cutting or adding copy where needed, and filling in cutlines and pull quotes where needed.&lt;br /&gt;
