CBS News is looking for an intern who will be committed to working in the CBS Beijing Bureau for a three month period, every Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. This position comes with a small stipend that will cover meals and public transportation. The successful intern will conduct radio interviews, complete research using Chinese and English sources and will work as an assistant to our local news producer.
This position will not lead to full-time employment, but it will offer good working experience in a busy news bureau. Past interns have progressed on to full-time paid positions in other new bureaus, to graduate schools overseas or to launch their own freelance journalism careers.
Applicants must be fluent or near-fluent in English. Strong written and oral Chinese language skills are preferred. A demonstrated interest in broadcast news is an asset.
